COURSE SYLLABUS


  • Course Aim
    After finishing the course, the student will have improved his/her oral and written communication skills in English. The course aims to prepare the student for a working life in which he/she has to manage a number of daily tasks in English.

  • Contents
    Oral communication – public speaking skills, lectures, discussions and presentations. Written communication – reading comprehension, English vocabulary/grammar exercises and writing summaries, letters and reports. 

  • Realization
    Each course occasion´s language and form is stated and appear on the course page on Nordic Language University´s website. The course will be taught through lectures and seminars, but also includes self-study and exercises performed individually as well as in pairs or study groups.

  • Examination
    If there is a decision on special educational support, in accordance with the Guideline Student's rights and obligations atNordic Language University, an adapted or alternative form of examination can be provided.
    Active participation in exercises and presentations. The student will have to attend at least 80% of the lectures/seminars and complete the oral and written assignments. 

    Entry requirements

    In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and have documented skills in English language. Exemption for Swedish A and B / Swedish 1-3. +


    Swedish upper secondary school course English 6.
